1. The Legend at Pope Lick 🐐
The Legend at Pope Lick features a theme dedicated to Louisville’s most infamous monster: The Goatman. Here you can participate in a half-escape game half-haunted trail called Escape the Goatman, among other fun games. There’s also live music, plenty of food vendors, shopping vendors, and horror movie screenings — all for a $20 admissions fee.
The Legend at Pope Lick events are for individuals 18 years and older. However, minors are allowed in as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.

2. The Sleepy Hollow Experience 🏇
If you’re in the mood for a theatrical haunting experience, you’ll love this haunted journey into the most famous ghost story that has ever been told — the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. Also known as the Sleepy Hollow Experience.
Here the audience gets to be a part of the action as it’s an immersive experience for all ages and some unique Halloween fun. Ticket prices vary based on the day, with weekend prices costing significantly more. There’s also a VIP option that includes a private haunted cocktail party with music and festive events before the show.

3. The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular 🎃
The Jack O’Lantern Spectacular is where a quarter-mile trail is transformed into a Halloween-themed art gallery — with the primary medium being carved pumpkins!
Located in Iroquois Park, the trail features over 5,000 hand-carved pumpkins made by local artists. These masterpieces can be viewed every night of the week, with ticket prices varying based on the day and age of the attendee. Food, drinks, and cocktails are also available through vendors.

4. The Belle of Louisville Ghost on the River Tour 👻
Come face to face with ghosts — or feel like you just might come face to face with ghosts — by stepping aboard the 108-year-old haunted Belle of Louisville for a Ghost on the River tour. Not only will this be a beautiful night on the river, but you’ll also get to hear stories of The Belle’s history of hauntings.
Capture your “Pepper’s Ghost” illusion image, partake in tarot card readings, and see how you do in the costume contest! There are also tasting stations that come complimentary with your tickets.
This event typically takes place on October 13th and is meant for ages 21 and older. You’ll need to make reservations in advance as well.

5. The Ultimate Halloween Parade and Festival 🎉
The Ultimate Halloween Parade and Festival has been going strong for 20 years. It’s held at night — and for four days long — from October 26 through the 39th. Each night features different events, including live music, tons of vendors, the Balloon Glow, a kid’s costume contest, a car show, and a Boos Crawl (which is bar hopping from balloon to balloon). You’ll also get to play fun games!
The parade has something spooktacular for all ages and is considered a family-friendly event. The proceeds from the tickets are also put towards the “Don’t Be a Monster” bullying prevention program.

6. The Hermitage Farm Meet Your Maker Halloween Market 🧑🌾
The Hermitage Farm Meet Your Maker Halloween Market features more than 40 vendors offering unique products you won’t find elsewhere. Here you’ll also get to enjoy entertainment, food, and beverages — all provided by Barn8 Restaurant.
There are also hayrides, live music, and trick-or-treating for the whole family to enjoy. It’s a great way to get your spooks in the daytime!

7. The Jack Daniel Wicked Garden 🚂
If you’re looking for some ghastly weekend fun full of witches and whiskey, the Jack Daniel Wicked Garden is the place to be. From October 27 through October 29, you can come dressed in costume to enjoy car shows, vendors, train rides, all kinds of food, cocktails, and even a costume contest where the winner will take home $1,000!
Each day and night will feature different events. On the last day, there’s even a Daschund Halloweener Derby, where the dogs race each other in costume!

8. The Victorian Ghost Walk 🧟
If you haven’t had your fill of hauntings, why not celebrate one of the most haunted neighborhoods in Louisville?
Part walking tour, part play (where the stage is a porch), enjoy a bunch of characters returning from their graves to tell you the haunted stories of Louisville’s haunted past on the Victorian Ghost Walk. You’ll especially enjoy the story of Simon Keracht, the infamous resurrectionist who used to steal freshly buried corpses for the local medical college.
Learn about the town’s spooky history while enjoying the interactive story-telling between October 20 and October 23. Tickets are $34.99 regardless of which night you choose.
